Change map
With Change map, you can adjust background maps and map layers. You can also create a layer structure. This can be configured at different levels, depending on your user role:
Personal level: each user can configure their own layer structure.
Organisation level: the organisation manager can configure a layer structure for the entire organisation.
Project level: both the organisation manager and Architects can configure a layer structure for a specific project.
Layer management
At the top, you will find a drop-down list for opening a saved layer structure. Dipla’s default layer structure is available to every organisation.
You can adjust the layer structure in several ways:
Change order: drag layers up or down to change their order. Hover over the arrow icon. When your pointer changes to a hand, you can drag the layer.
Set visibility: click the eye icon to show or hide a layer.
Adjust transparency: set a layer’s transparency to a value between 0 and 100%.
Remove layer: click the three dots and select Delete.
Group layers: click the folder button to create a new folder. Then drag layers into the folder to group them. This helps you stay organised when working with many layers.
Expand and collapse folders: use the button next to the folder button to expand or collapse all folders at once.
Create a new layer structure
Use the Library to add new layers to your layer structure. Here you will find thematic colourings, overlays and background maps. You can also import external layers.
To add a layer, drag it from the Library into your layer management.
Import external layers
To add external layers to your Library, follow these steps:
Click the plus button to add an external layer.
Select a server from the drop-down list or choose to add your own (custom) server.
Using a custom server? Enter the correct URL and click Load layers.
Click the plus icon (+) next to the desired layer to add it to your Library.
You can find the imported layer under the globe icon in the Library. From there, drag it into your layer management.

Save or delete a layer structure
Finished adjusting your layer structure? Click the floppy disk icon at the top to save your changes.
If you have permission to save changes to an existing layer structure, you can update that structure.
If you do not have those permissions, or if you want to make a new structure, you can create a layer structure for the organisation, a project or yourself as a user, depending on your roles.
This menu also lets you delete a layer structure you created or restore it to the last saved version.
